    New Deputy Sheriff appointed by the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office

    GREENBRIER COUNTY, WV (WVNS) — A new Deputy Sheriff was appointed by the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office.

    On Tuesday, June 18, 2024, Joshua Doss took his oath as the newest member of the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department. He was sworn in by Chief Circuit Judge Robert E. Richardson.

    “I am thankful for the opportunity to serve the citizens of Greenbrier County and I am eager to begin my career with the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department,” said Doss.

    “Josh is going to be a tremendous asset to our department and the county. We look forward to his service with the Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Office and his continued commitment to public service for the citizens of Greenbrier County,” said Sheriff Sloan.

    For the past few years, Doss has served as a police officer with the Lewisburg Police Department. He is honored to have this position and to keep serving the Greenbrier County community.
