GRANDVIEW, WV (WVNS) – Theatre West Virginia is bringing the heat this summer with the return of some historical outdoor dramas.

Theatre WV is bringing back “Hatfields & McCoys” and “Honey in the Rocks” starting this week.

The drama “Honey in the Rocks” was on a 5 year hiatus, but General Manager Gayle Oaks wanted to bring it back.

More than two dozen performers contribute to both plays, some of whom are out-of-state.

Oaks said both dramas tell the interesting and complex history here in the Mountain State, something she is proud to showcase to anyone who attends.

“We have this year people coming from Florida, Tennessee, California. Coming in for reunions and different events from across the nation. They are wanting to come see ‘Honey in the Rocks’ and ‘Hatfields and McCoys’ and that’s huge.”
