Bulldog's Precious Bond with Her Grandfather Is Making People Emotional

There are a lot of things to love about raising a dog, but one of the best parts has to be seeing how much the other humans in your life love them — and watching your dog return that love in the way that only they are capable of. Seeing my dog's bond with my daughter has been absolutely the best part of our adventures together, and I love seeing her get excited to see my sister and parents when they drop by. Dogs are so full of love that it would be such a shame to see that love go to waste!

The dog in this TikTok video is extremely good at being a granddog— anyone who watches it knows that. And as much as she loves her grandfather, it definitely seems like the feeling is mutual. These two are too cute together!

In a video recently shared by @jordans_bella_rose , we can see her sweet Bulldog , Bella Rose, being walked by her grandfather at what appears to be an assisted living home. Though he holds Bella's leash in one hand and his cane in the other, the two of them are making good time — and somehow, Bella just instinctively knows to go slow for him. These two really do understand each other.

In another sweet clip, we can see Bella perched under her grandfather's chair, receiving plenty of pets, and even going for a walk outside.

According to her previous videos , Bella is a regular fixture at this center and spends her Sundays visiting the residents. She gets plenty of pets and attention, and everyone there gets to feel the joy that comes with spending time with a dog. Seems like a big win/win situation for me!

How Dogs Can Help the Elderly

According to American Humane, there are a lot of benefits of seniors spending time around dogs and other pets, both for their physical and mental health.

Studies have shown that older humans who have dogs experience decreased blood pressure and cholesterol, along with less loneliness and anxiety (which can, in turn, help prevent more serious conditions as well).

Caring for an animal also helps to keep their brains sharp, and meeting a dog's needs for exercise can encourage them to get outside and get the exercise they need as humans, too.

Many assisted living communities will allow pets to visit, so if there are any seniors in your life, it can't hurt to bring your dog next time you go and spread a little joy while you're there. It's hard to feel down with a pup as beautiful as Bella nearby!
