    Man and dog dead following Greene Co. house fire

    GREENE COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) – Multiple agencies are looking into a fatal fire that happened Tuesday evening in Greene County.

    Fire crews responded to a burning trailer on Lobo Loop around 6:15 p.m., according to the Greene County Sheriff’s Department.

    Deputies with the Greene County Sheriff’s Department arrived on the scene and were informed by a neighbor that someone could be inside the structure.

    Upon entry into the home, first responders discovered the bodies of a man and a dog.

    The victim has been identified as 31-year-old William Arrowood. Officials said he was a resident of the home.

    His body was sent to the William L. Jenkins Forensic Center at ETSU for an autopsy.

    The GCSD’s Criminal Investigation Division and Fire Investigation Units alongside the Fire Investigation Division from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation are investigating the cause of the fire.
