CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa. (WTAJ) — A Northern Cambria woman who was wanted on multiple warrants was arrested after police said she ingested 50 bags of heroin during a traffic stop.

Keriane Cameron, 30, was arrested during a traffic stop on April 25. Cameron was originally pulled over because her vehicle, a white Chevrolet Silverado, had been flagged by officers due to her active warrants in Cambria, Indiana and Clearfield Counties.

Police conducted a traffic stop on Cameron, and when asked for identification she allegedly told them she did not have her license but that her name was “Cloey Klingensmith.” There was no record found for that name, so officers contacted the sergeant for a picture of Cameron for comparison.

Based on the photograph, Cameron was positively identified, police noted in the charges. An adult probation officer also arrived at the traffic stop, who was able to identify Cameron as well.

When asked to step out of the car, Cameron allegedly refused and secured the door. She then requested for a sergeant or female police officer to come to the stop. When the sergeant arrived, she also requested that Cameron step out of the car.

Cameron then put the car into drive and began pulling forward while telling the officers “no” to their request that she step out of the vehicle, according to the criminal complaint. Cameron then put the vehicle back into park but continued to refuse the request that she step out of the car.

Officers attempted to talk to Cameron, when they were alerted that she was overdosing. EMS was able to get the door of the vehicle open and place Cameron onto the ground so they could render aid. Officers then learned that Cameron allegedly ate a brick (50 bags) of heroin either before or during the traffic stop.

Cameron was transported to Miners Hospital for treatment after EMS administered Narcan.

She is now facing a misdemeanor charge of false identification to law enforcement officer, a misdemeanor charge of tampering with or fabricating physical evidence, seven misdemeanor charges of use or possession of drug paraphernalia and other related charges.

Cameron was released from jail on ROR bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 18.
