Why Caroline Stanbury May Be Ignoring Sergio Carrallo’s Red Flags

I loved Caroline Stabury during her time on Ladies of London . She was fierce, unapologetic, and didn’t let anyone tell her what she could do. Fast forward to the Real Housewives of Dubai . I feel like I am seeing a softer side of the lady from London who used to terrify me in my own home. The couple first met when Caroline was on tour to promote her podcast in California.

While at the all-women empowerment event, Sergio Carrallo happened to be sitting in the audience as Caroline discussed her recent divorce. As fate would have it, Sergio lied about his age, saying he was 31. After their first meeting, they bumped into one another again that summer while in Marbella. Caroline is now loved up with her boy toy, Sergio. But while she presents herself as a happy homemaker, I get the vibe that she is wearing rose-colored glasses.

Sergio wants a baby

It makes complete sense that the 29-year-old would want a baby. The former professional soccer player is young and viral. Caroline is 49 and already has three children of her own: an 18-year-old daughter and twin 14-year-old boys. She has spent her time losing sleep and raising kids. During a recent episode of the Real Housewives of Dubai, it became apparent that Caroline might not want to give birth to a fourth child.

However, Sergio’s persistence is quite annoying. And I’m just a viewer saying that. Caroline wrote an essay via Today sharing, “My doctor thinks that I may be able to carry one more child … and I also feel the healthiest I’ve ever been. But moving forward with having another baby is a difficult decision at my age.” Caroline keeps stating that Sergio “deserves to be a father” but this sentiment screams red flags to me. No one should feel pressured into having a baby, and Caroline should feel safe enough to say no if that is truly her decision.

Sergio doesn’t let Caroline go anywhere alone

It seems a bit odd that Sergio escorts his wife literally everywhere. During Season 1, Caroline was newly married and went on a trip with the rest of the cast to Nurai Island. While sipping on some champagne who is seen in the distance on jetski none other than Sergio. I love the expression of love but I don’t love how intrusive he is during private girls’ time. Sergio always feels that he needs to be included, and it is really childish. The most recent episode showed how upset Sergio became when Caroline told him he couldn’t go on the University trip to America for her daughter.

Sergio grew upset over the fact that Caroline would be traveling for a week with her ex-husband. Sergio gave off the attitude that Caroline was his property. Even though she laughed off his concerns, the fact that he grew jealous in the first place is a bit suspect.

The marriage feels like a cover

Many fans have questioned whether their marriage wasn’t a farce or even arranged. After a re-watch, I noticed that in every season of Ladies of London, Caroline surrounds herself with gay men. So, I can understand how some fans feel her marriage to Sergio may be a beard. It seems odd that Caroline was so put together on the early Bravo show, especially since she has now morphed into the woman she used to despise. Caroline rejoiced in mocking the moms and devoted wives of her show. The irony hasn’t been lost on me, but love makes you do some weird things.

Even though she claims to be happily married Caroline still comes off aloof towards her husband’s feelings. At times, it feels like Caroline might not want to be in the relationship, especially when her husband starts to act needy. I haven’t forgotten that Sergio’s father once offered his son money to end the relationship. In my humble opinion, if your in-laws are against you from the start, you don’t really have a chance of survival.
