Semi-truck crash leaves watermelon spill on Interstate 40 in Conway County, injury reported

CONWAY COUNTY, Ark. – Drivers in Conway County may experience a sweet but sour surprise on Interstate 40 after a semi-truck crash left a big watermelon spill on Wednesday morning.

According to officials with the Arkansas Department of Transportation, the semi-truck overturned just east of Plumerville.

Special agents said that the eastbound and westbound lanes are shut down. Images show cases and crushed watermelon on the road.

ASP officials said that someone was also injured in the crash but have not released any details on the victim’s condition.

Police officials have not released information on the cause of the crash at this time.
