Ride the Hatfield-McCoy Trail System for free on West Virginia Day

WEST VIRGINIA (LOOTPRESS) – Governor Jim Justice announced this week that the Hatfield-McCoy Trail System would be accessible at no charge on Thursday in honor of West Virginia Day.

The announcement came along with news of a brand new “ Almost Heaven ” swing location having been unveiled in the Logan County area. The swing sits along the Rockhouse Trail System overlooking the town of Man.

Day passes will be made available to all in-state residents who present a valid driver’s license or state-issued ID at the Hatfield-McCoy Trails Welcome Center in Julian, the Country Roads Byway Visitors Center in Logan, or any trailhead location.

“This is our way of saying ‘Thank You’ for the support to the residents of West Virginia,” Hatfield-McCoy Trails Marketing Manager Chris Zeto said. “We hope folks will get outside, explore in the mountain and visit an ATV-friendly town along the way!”

The Hatfield-McCoy Trial System features more than 1,000 miles of off-road terrain suitable for both first-timers and experienced riders.

News of the latest “Almost Heaven” swing follows that of multiple swings recently installed at scenic locations throughout the Mountain State, including one installed this month at the main Lake Stephens overlook .
