Galveston County continues to monitor Tropical Cyclone One in the Bay of Campeche . As of this morning, the system showed that it was headed westward toward Mexico causing local impacts such as Rip Currents and Tropical Storm Warnings along the coast.

Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo encourages everyone to sign up for Ready Harris Alerts created by the Harris County Office of Homeland Security and the Office of Emergency Management . The service will distribute more real-time, detailed updates on emergencies and disasters. Alerts are offered through phone, text and email.
