    How dangerous are Louisiana workplaces? Study shows where state ranks

    BATON ROUGE, La. (BRPROUD) — Louisiana lands in the top 10 states with the most dangerous workplaces.

    A study by Duddy, Goodwin & Pollard used data between 2020-22 from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics to find which states have had the most workplace fatalities.

    Wyoming was identified as the state with the most workplace deaths with 16.64 fatal injuries per 100,000 people and 96 fatalities.

    The study places North Dakota and Alaska in second and third places for the highest workplace fatalities.

    Louisiana ranked No. 6. According to the study, there were 364 deaths with 7.81 fatal injuries at work per 100,000 people.
