3 Ways Baking Soda Can Help in the Garden

    1. Fight fungal diseases

While a large amount of baking soda can be detrimental to your plants, you can use a diluted solution for indoor plants. Mix together one tablespoon of baking soda and one 1/2 teaspoon of insecticidal soap with one gallon of water, according to the experts at Epic Gardening . Spray gently onto your affected plants.

    2. Weed killer

Want a DIY weed killer? Simply add about 3/4 of a cup of baking soda to a gallon of water and pour into a spray bottle. According to the experts at The Spruce , the salt in the baking soda will dehydrate the weeds.

    3. Pest control

If your garden is prone to slugs, ants, or roaches, try sprinkling some baking soda on the popular areas. Use a flour sifter to get an even coating on the ground and make sure to avoid your actual plants!
