‘Lebanon Will be Severely Hit’: Israel Warns of ‘All-Out’ War With Hezbollah After Nasrallah Threatens Attack On Haifa

Israel warned of an “all-out” war with Hezbollah on Wednesday after the Iran-backed terrorist organization’s leader Hassan Nasrallah threatened an attack on the port city of Haifa.

Israeli Foreign Affairs Minister Israel Katz wrote on X, “Nasrallah boasts today about filming the ports of Haifa, operated by international companies from China and India, and threatens to attack them.” Katz added :

We are very close to the moment of decision to change the rules against Hezbollah and Lebanon. In an all-out war, Hezbollah will be destroyed and Lebanon will be severely hit.

The State of Israel will pay a price on the front and home fronts, but with a strong and united nation, and the full power of the IDF, we will restore security to the residents of the north.

Nasrallah spoke at a memorial for a Hezbollah commander killed by Israel and threatened to use the group’s full force against the Jewish state and even its allies in the region – like Cyprus.

“Opening Cypriot airports and bases to the Israeli enemy to target Lebanon would mean that the Cypriot government is part of the war, and the resistance will deal with it as part of the war,” Nasrallah said. He added , “We have more than 100,000 fighters, and even more, even in the worst-case scenario. We have prepared for the worst-case scenario and Israel knows it.”

Hezbollah, dubbed a terrorist organization by the U.S. and many other countries, is heavily armed with tens of thousands of rockets aimed at Israel – with some estimates saying the group has as many as 120,000. Hezbollah and Israel have exchanged fire across the Lebanon-Israel border since October 7th with casualties on both sides. Israel evacuated tens of thousands of residents from communities in the north amid constant shelling , which has also sparked fires in the region.
