Teresa Giudice’s Parents Only Said They Loved Her When Gia Was Born

Babies bring families closer together, but Teresa Giudice and her family took that concept a little too far. According to the Real Housewives of New Jersey star, her parents never expressed their love until she gave them a grandkid. Once Gia Giudice came into the picture, that changed everything. Allegedly.

Gia was a blessing to the family

Teresa opened up about the relationship with her parents during a new episode of her podcast, Turning the Tables. In case you missed it, she just rebranded her podcast from Namaste B$tches after apparently falling out with her co-host . With this latest venture, she’s diving deep into all things Tre, including the complicated relationship with her parents.

Teresa shared, “My parents didn’t tell me growing up that they loved me. So when I had kids, I just wanted them to always know how much I love ’em.”

Say what you want about Teresa and her relationships on RHONJ , but you can’t take away the fact that she’s an amazing mom (except for that whole jail thing). Her daughters have always been her number one priority. This gives us a little bit more insight into why Teresa is wired the way she is.

She continued, “The first time my parents told me they loved me, was when Gia started saying it to them. So my kids changed my parents. When Gia started saying it to them at two or three years old, then they started saying it to me.”

Basically, Teresa just confirmed that Gia has been this family’s saving grace since she was born. We saw it when Teresa went away, and we’ll probably continue to see that as their family evolves . It’s just part of the responsibilities of being the oldest sibling.
