(COLORADO) — The kids are out of school, and summer vacations are in full effect, so if you’re skipping that flight and hitting the roads instead, the Colorado State Patrol (CSP) has several resources for drivers to ensure there’s ‘no bump in the road’ during family trips.

On Wednesday, June 19, CSP shared its ‘ Super Cruising in Colorado ‘ page on social media with the caption: “Even the best plans sometimes have potholes. Check road conditions and construction updates before you head out.”

CSP has several helpful tips for drivers when it comes to Colorado’s most traveled mountain passes and roadways including; safety tips for motorcycles, large vehicles, and for drivers pulling a trailer, boat, or other nonautomotive vehicle.

At the link above, troopers also showcase driving conditions in various parts of Colorado, which include a driver’s perspective. People can click into each video and get a good sense of what to expect if traveling through the high country, through the valley, across the plains, and more.

CSP includes several ‘Things You Should Know,’ and other tips for drivers, so those planning a trip understand or are reminded of the laws when it comes to Colorado’s roadways.

Other helpful information on the page includes current weather and trip information along with summer cruising tips.
