Saquon Shugars, previously known as Lucky Ali on the indies, signed with WWE late last year after a successful tryout and looks set to get every opportunity to be a star. However, he recently suffered a serious knee injury and is currently sidelined for the foreseeable future. Yet, despite this, he isn’t keeping a low profile as he has grabbed fan’s attention on social media, having launched a GoFundMe and shared his Cash App details to “ Get Shugars back on his feet.

As of writing, Shugars has raised $404, with John Cena responsible for $300 of this, although it doesn’t appear this amount will increase since he has subsequently deactivated the ability to donate. Whether this was his decision or someone at WWE instructed him to do it isn’t known, but it isn’t a great look for the company, even if it is some type of inside joke or angle, as some suspect.

Shugars, who is considered a high flyer, broke into the business in 2018 and is best known for his time for his time in DPW, having previously been their champion. And while it now looks like his WWE career is on hold, given that he was working with notable NXT names like Lexis King and Je’Von Evans prior to injury and was spotted training with Logan Paul, WWE clearly holds him in high regard as a talent.
