    Sheriff Reports

    A breaking and entering involving the theft of several firearms was reported to the Stokes County Sheriff’s Office on June 2. The incident occurred at a Heaven Drive, Walnut Cove residence, according to the report, which lists seven firearms as stolen including an AK style rifle, two AR rifles, two Glock pistols and two revolvers, with a total value of $3,500. Also reported stolen was $200 in U.S. currency. Damage to a flat screen television, a camera monitor and exterior door was valued at $1,000.

    • On June 5, a breaking and entering, larceny of a motor vehicle and chop shop activity was reported at a YMCA Camp Road residence in King. The report states that a $1,200 dirt bike was stolen, recovered and damaged.

    • The larceny of a trailer was reported on June 3 from a non-residential building on Main Street in Walnut Cove. The wood-bottom black dovetail trailer was valued at $10,000. Metal chains and binders valued at $1,000 were also listed as stolen.

    Arrest Reports

    All charges are presumed innocent.

    • Kacie Layne Coleman, 26, of Rockwell, was arrested June 2 and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor counts of possession of marijuana up to 1/2 oz, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Bond was set at $5,000 secured with a July 17 court date.

    • Amanda Marie Webster, 38, of Lawsonville, was arrested June 1 and charged with felony fugitive from other state. Bond was set at $1,000 secured with a June 3 court date.

    • Adam Ruiz-Ramirez, 24, of Durham, was arrested May 30 and charged with felony possession of cocaine and felony create counterfeit controlled substance along with misdemeanor charges of maintaining a drug vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia and no liability insurance. Bond was set at $5,000 secured with a July 17 court date.

    • Katlyn Holcomb, 26, of King, was arrested June 4 and charged with felony identity theft. Bond was set at $500 secured with a June 12 court date.

    • Stephen Grant Simpson, 36, with an address listed as homeless, was arrested June 3 and charged with felony obtain property by false pretense. Bond was set at $500 secured with a June 24 court date.

    • Gene Louin Butler, 45, of Winston-Salem, was arrested June 5 and charged with felony counts of possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of methamphetamine and possession of cocaine. Additional charges included possession of drug paraphernalia and maintaining a drug vehicle. Bond was set at $10,000 secured with an Aug. 6 court date.

    • Brandi Lockley Marsh, 47, of Rural Hall, was arrested June 5 and charged with felony aid and abet and misdemeanor possession of a schedule II controlled substance. Bond was set at $1,000 secured with an Aug. 6 court date.

    • Cody Lee Clayton, 35, of Germanton, was arrested June 7 and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while license revoked. Bond was set at $10,000 secured with a July 17 court date.

    • Dustin Aaron Braden, 35, of Gastonia, was arrested June 11 and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to appear. Bond was set at $10,293 secured with a July 17 court date.

    • Yasser Mendez-Hernandez, 37, of Florida, was arrested June 11 and charged with felony obtain property by false pretense greater than or equal to $100,000. Bond was set at $100,000 secured with a court date of June 12.

    • Chase Daniel Brown, 23, of King, was arrested June 7 and charged with one felony count each of possession of methamphetamine and possession of stolen goods and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Bond was set at $20,000 secured with a July 9 court date.

    • Amanda Hazelwood Fosner, 44, of King, was arrested June 7 and charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, felony possession of stolen goods and misdemeanor count each of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. Bond was set at $20,000 with a July 9 court date.

    • Kris Earl-Lee Tharpe, 45, of Ronda, was arrested June 8 and charged with one felony count each of probation violation, identity theft and larceny. Bond was set at $35,000 secured with a July 5 court date.
