Youth Juneteenth Celebration Workshops Offer Education and Artistic Opportunities

On The Rashad Richey Morning Show , singer, actor, director, producer, writer, and the founder of the theatrical touring company, 7AM Productions , Andre Minkins and Renowned educator, consultant and youth advocate Deborah Middleton discussed the upcoming Youth Juneteenth Celebration in Rockdale County. Scheduled for this Saturday, the event features workshops aimed at empowering local youth through education and the arts.

Ms. Middleton, a veteran educator, will lead a workshop titled " Finding Scholarship Money for Your Students. " Drawing on her 30-year career and advocacy work, Ms. Middleton emphasized holistic college preparation, including creating supportive home learning environments and addressing issues like technology overstimulation and vaping.

Mr. Minkins will conduct acting workshops designed to teach both performance skills and the business aspects of the entertainment industry. His sessions cater to aspiring performers seeking comprehensive training.

The event, open to youth aged 12 to 18, includes specialized sessions for seniors and spans the day with workshops offered in the morning and afternoon.

The Youth Juneteenth Celebration aims to engage participants in educational and creative pursuits, fostering personal growth and community involvement.
