Justin Timberlake Arrested for DUI in The Hamptons

Justin Timberlake was arrested Monday night in The Hamptons for driving under the influence. According to TMZ, Timberlake had been partying at a hotel bar into the early hours of Tuesday morning. Trouble began as soon as he left the parking lot, reportedly blowing through a stop sign and driving erratically. Police pulled him over, and sources revealed Timberlake performed poorly on a field sobriety test and refused to take a Breathalyzer. Despite attempts by several of his friends to intervene, the deputies did not let him off the hook. Timberlake was arraigned and is scheduled to appear in court on July 26th. The police report noted he appeared glassy-eyed and smelled of alcohol.

Fantasia Honored in Her Hometown

In other entertainment news, Fantasia Barrino continues to make history. The American Idol winner was honored in her hometown of High Point, North Carolina, with both the key to the city and the county in a special street renaming ceremony this past Sunday. Fantasia expressed her gratitude on Instagram, posting, “Today I realized how much I miss my city (High Point, NC), the place where I was born and raised, the place that taught me everything I know. They showed up today and gave me a street name, highway signs, a key to our City, and for the first time ever, a key to the County. It’s so much I want to say, but I’m still in awe of all the love and support from today.”

Nelly and Ashanti are Married

Earlier this week, Ashanti spoke candidly about how Nelly proposed to her. Ashanti told Entertainment Tonight that she was wearing Nelly’s boxers and a T-shirt when he got down on one knee with a ring. “I had no idea,” she said. “I felt like it was gonna come soon, but I didn’t know when. I cried, gave him the biggest hug and kiss ever, FaceTimed everyone I know… I was overjoyed, shocked, and happy all at once.” According to new reports, little did we know, the two have been married for months!
