    Commission handles area matters

    Members of the Texas County Commission handled several matters during meetings June 12 – 13.

    Members:

    • Commissioner Robert Ross attended a Solid Waste Management meeting.
    • Commissioner John Casey attended a Twin Cities Industrial Park meeting.
    • Reviewed quotes with Sheriff Scott Lindsey for vehicle repairs. Lindsey also discussed the title to a damaged Ford Explorer.

    In other business, commissioners heard from:

    • Prosecutor Parke Stevens who updated the commission on correspondence he had with CPI Technologies.
    • The maintenance department gave updates on museum repairs and future improvements to water pressure issues.
    • Terry Hancock, Upton Township, concerning a road situation.
    • David Scantlin, Jackson Township, about township roads.
    • Luke Woolsey, Date Township, concerning roads and county issues.
