GOP Rep. Pushes Outlandish Claim to Maria Bartiromo: ‘Millions of Illegal Immigrants’ May ‘Cast Votes in the Swing States’ to Ensure Biden Victory

Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY) claimed that “millions of illegal immigrants” may influence the outcome of the November election by voting for President Joe Biden .

The New York lawmaker made the claim during a Thursday morning interview on Fox Business with anchor Maria Bartiromo while discussing Biden’s immigration policy. Republicans have frequently criticized Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas and the Biden  administration at large over the number of migrants crossing the U.S. southern border.

Bartiromo pushed back against Tenney’s claims by noting it is illegal for non-citizens to vote in U.S. elections and asked if the Republican congresswoman had proof of Democrats recruiting migrants to vote in the election.

Tenney responded that Susan Rice — former advisor to Barack Obama — is leading an operation to encourage federal agencies to “get votes from illegal immigrants.” Claims of illegal voting from migrants has been one of the popular claims supporting the election fraud conspiracy theory being pushed by former President Donald Trump and his supporters.

TENNEY: There is a criminal involved in this and it’s from Joe Biden to Alejandro Mayorkas. We’ve called for the removal, the impeachment of both of them in the House because of their dereliction of duty and completely undermining our U.S. Constitution…Maria, remember I told you this. I used to be cynically saying are the Democrats trying to register voters? Well guest what, we know they are. Susan Rice, former president Obama’s key advisor is heading up the operation of tasking our federal agencies to actually get votes from illegal immigrants, get those ballots in the box and once they’re cast, we can’t go back and determine if that ballot was an illegal immigrant or not. I wouldn’t be surprised, Maria, and I’m not — this is not a conspiracy theory, it is actually out there, and there’s a memo from Susan Rice, I would not be surprised if somehow these millions of illegal immigrants somehow are casting votes in the swing states to make sure that Joe Biden wins this election, because we know that President Trump is winning on policy. We know that Joe Biden, as you guys alluded to earlier, is not going to get through this debate. It’s going to be a disaster.

BARTIROMO: Hold on. An illegal voting in American election is illegal. You’re not allowed to vote if you’re not a citizen. Are you saying you have proof that the Democrats are trying to recruit illegals, migrants, to vote in our presidential election? Is that what you just said?

TENNEY: There is a memo from Susan Rice that says we’ve got to figure out how we’re going to get these illegal immigrants, it’s going to be challenging to teach them how to make sure we get their votes. They don’t say whether they’ll make them citizens first or not.

Tenney’s claims about Rice appear to be in reference to Biden’s 2021 executive order that the time “called for each agency to submit to Domestic Policy Advisor Susan Rice a strategic plan outlining the ways that the agency can promote nonpartisan voter registration and voter participation.”

There is no evidence undocumented immigrants would be allowed to vote in the November election.
