    Woman indicted in case of 2023 Slidell fatal shooting

    SLIDELL, La. ( WGNO ) — The St. Tammany Parish District Attorney’s Office announced the grand jury indictment of a woman accused in a 2023 deadly shooting.

    According to District Attorney Collin Sims, 23-year-old Jada Rivera was indicted on Wednesday, June 19, on a charge of second-degree murder following the death of 26-year-old Jovan Brown on Sept. 3, 2023.

    The crime remains under investigation by the Slidell Police Department.

    Police records reveal Rivera was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail on Feb. 26 and was held on a bond of $600,000.
