MOUNT ALTO, WV (LOOTPRESS) – A Jackson County man faces charges in relation to a domestic incident which took place last week.

Deputy J.B. Thompson and Deputy M.R. Abel responded to the Mount Alto area of Jackson County on June 12, 2024, with regard to reports of a physical domestic situation involving an Allen Ray Casto.

A witness to the situation sent a text to a nearby Exon employee reporting the situation, writing, “he really had no reason to f*cking hit her tonight she tried to go through the house through the door to get a flashlight and he f*cking grabbed her by the throat [redacted] and body slammed her on the ground was beating sh*t out of her choking her so she couldn’t breathe.”

Deputies made contact with Casto on the front porch of the residence in question at which time he was reportedly detained without incident. Authorities report Casto “speaking in a British accent” and “not making much sense” after being detained.

Deputies made contact with the victim in the incident who could be seen to be visibly covered in bruises on her arms, shoulders, chest and legs, along with redness and scratches on her neck.

The victim stated that Casto had grabbed her by the arm before pulling her into the residence prior to authorities having been dispatched to the scene. The victim stated the suspect had been beating on her throughout the week.

A review of Casto’s criminal history showed that had previously plead “no contest” to Domestic Battery 2nd offense in 2017. Authorities determined that Casto made unlawful contact with the victim and placed him under arrest for Domestic Battery 3rd Offense.

Casto was transported to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office for processing before being transported to South Central Regional Jail to await arraignment.
