Hours after news broke of the “Sexy Back” singer’s arrest, Biel was spotted in Manhattan in a downcast while filming. A source told People that the arrest was a “distraction” for the actress and that “she’s not happy” about it. Another source told Us Weekly , “ Jessica is extremely upset. She was shocked to hear the news and had no idea as she was working. She was really worried about him.”

“She had to film yesterday. She doesn’t like any attention on the family, especially not negative,” the People source said. However, the source reassured that Biel “will always be by his side. “

A source who worked on the set of The Better Sister observed that Biel looked “tired” but “seemed very focused on filming.” The source said, “The cast and crew have nothing but positive things to say about her. You can tell she’s excited about working.”

Justin Timberlake was arrested in Sag Harbor, New York in the late hours of June 17, 2024. The *NSYNC member was stopped after police saw him drive past a stop sign. Law enforcement sources told TMZ that cops observed Justin glassy-eyed and reported that they smelled alcohol on his breath. The sources also said he failed the field sobriety test when asked to do a one-legged stand and a walk and turn.

A source told Us Weekly that Timberlake admitted to Biel “he was barely drinking.” Biel chose to be optimistic about the incident as the insider added, “She always gives Justin the benefit of the doubt.”

“Justin was at dinner with friends and … [and he] wanted to enjoy some downtime and have fun,” the Us Weekly source said. “He and his friends didn’t even really drink that much so they were shocked he was pulled over.”

The “Can’t Stop The Feeling!” musician is on a short break for The Forget Tomorrow World Tour which starts back up again on June 21 in Chicago. The source revealed that Timberlake has barely “been drinking” while touring. “[He’s] been really healthy with the ongoing tour,” the insider notes. His next court date is scheduled for July 26, 2024.
