I believe strongly that the Disney theme parks — and theme parks in general — are for people of all ages. You can't really put an age limit on fun rides and attractions and yummy food, and who doesn't want to spend their vacation feeling like a kid again? I've been to Disney World and Disneyland plenty of times both with and without my kid, and I can confirm that it's magical either way. After all, the real world is tough enough, so who can blame anyone else for needing a little escape?

So while seeing kids being surprised with Disney trips never fails to get me right in the feelings, I'll be the first to admit that seeing those surprises that are really more for the adults makes me just a tad bit more emotional. And if you feel the same way, you might want to grab a tissue before you watch this video...

In the video shared by @morganbrookemyers , we can see her young kiddos opening up a gift bag that's full of treats that hint at a Disney vacation while their mom helps and Dad records the moment.

They're pulling out pretty typical stuff at first — a plush Minnie Mouse, some Disney-themed playing cards, and then, finally, an adult-sized Mickey Mouse t-shirt. This seems to be when Mom starts getting suspicious... and by the time her daughter takes a pair of Minnie ears out of the bag, she's getting teary-eyed.

"Are we going to Disney World?" she asks, holding back tears.

At first, she didn't think her husband was the one who was surprising them. In the comments, she explained that he'd always been against going when they were so young. But he was the one behind it after all!

Then, she read a letter from Mickey that talked about how excited he is that their family would be visiting him in August. Cue the real waterworks!

The kids will have fun, but this trip really is for mama. She deserves it.

Pulling Off a Surprise Disney Trip

Pulling off a surprise Disney trip isn't easy, but it's always worth it.

Fortunately, all of your reservations can be made online if you're traveling to Disney World, from the hotel to your park tickets to your dining reservations, with zero risk of anyone overhearing any phone calls.

The fun part comes in making the reveal, though. For an adult, giving a gift like this with clues can be fun, and many families have had success setting up a scavenger hunt for the big moment. Another option, which is much easier if you're surprising kids, is saying nothing and letting them figure it out for themselves at the airport or during the road trip when they start noticing clues.

I hope this family has an absolute blast at Disney in August. I know Mom is going to be having the time of her life!
