Terri Clark Once Turned Down $1 Million To Pose For Playboy

A cool million. Terri Clark is a '90s country icon with hits like "Poor, Poor Pitiful Me," "Better Things To Do," and "I Just Wanna Be Mad." She also just released her latest album, Terri Clark: Take Two, featuring reimagined versions of some of her biggest hits alongside some of the best artists in country music today. I've always respected Terri for the way she's justs been kind of a "grind it out" type of artist. Nothing super flashy, never really did anything controversial for attention, she just does things her way and makes solid country music. But that doesn't mean she didn't have opportunities thrown her way for a quick buck...or more accurately, a million of them. During a recent interview, Clark spoke about the time 20 years ago that she was once offered $1 million to pose for Playboy - and she turned it down: "There was an online poll - it's so stupid - what female country singer would you like to see pose for Playboy? And me and Shania Twain, who could not be more polar opposites, 20 years ago especially, came in top two. I don't understand why. So they came to me and offered me - I'm just gonna say it - a million dollars... And then my manager Clarence - I said, 'There's no way I'm posing.' Meet and greets can get weird enough as it is. Can you imagine? But he called me and he says, 'Well they said you can go topless for this amount of money. The full monty, you get the full million.' So he's negotiating body parts to pose for Playboy... If I wanted a money grab I would have done it, but I was just like, I can't." Respect to her for not taking the quick cash...but you know those meet and greets would have gotten REAL awkward if she had decided to do that.
