Xbox Set To Bring Massive Booth to Gamescom 2024 as Sony & Nintendo to Skip The Show

With SGF 2024 in the rearview mirror and the latest Nintendo Direct 2024 just passed, the industry looks forward to gamescom 2024, where only one of the ‘big three,’ Xbox, is bringing the heat.

Following the massive Summer Game Fest 2024 event, the gaming industry looks to the next huge Summer gaming event, gamescom 2024. Today, Xbox has revealed that they will be uncorking their “biggest booth yet” when the show opens in late August. The X (formerly Twitter) post can be seen below, including a list of all the games they will bring to the show.

It’s worth noting that Xbox has also revealed some titles that it’s bringing to gamescom 2024. The list is below, and some of the new stuff they’ve shown at SGF 2024 has made the cut, and more will be revealed before the big event.

What’s interesting is Sony has just revealed in a new statement (that was shared with Eurogamer ), that PlayStation will not be attending gamescom 2024. In April, Nintendo also confirmed that they will be skipping the late August showcase, which leaves only Xbox on the slate (out of the big three console platforms) for gamescom 2024.

At SGF 2024 Microsoft and Xbox unveiled numerous announcements, with the first gameplay reveal of Dragon Age: The Veilguard , a new mid-generation console refresh (including a fully digital Xbox Series X), and delivered the news that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will indeed be a day one release on Xbox Game Pass.
