    Where to watch the fireworks in NEPA

    EYEWITNESS NEWS (WBRE/WYOU) — The Fourth of July is coming up. 28/22 News has compiled a list of places in NEPA where you can watch the fireworks.

    Here is a list organized by county:

    Lackawanna County

    • Scrantastic Spectacular Fireworks Show- an annual event on July 3.
    • North Pocono Fireworks Extravaganza on July 6 at 6:00 p.m., Rain date of July 7th.
    • Covington Township Annual Firemens Picnic Parade on July 4, the 11th followed by fireworks on the 12th.
    • Jessup 24th Century Association a.k.a “Queen of Angels Parish” at 4:00 p.m. on July 5.
    • SWB Railriders | Independence Day Celebration on July 4.
      • Home game at 6:35 p.m. against the Ironpigs followed by holiday fireworks.
    • Hurricane Hills Sportscenter on June 30 at 9:00 p.m.
    • Clarks Summit 4th of July Celebration on July 3. The rain date is set for July 5.

    Luzerne County

    • City of Nanticoke`s Annual Big Bang 4th of July Celebration on June 29.
      • The event starts at 4:00 p.m. Rain date Sunday, June 30.
        • Food vendors, moon bounces, pony rides, mini petting zoo. A 10-15 minute fireworks display at dusk.
    • Wright Township Independence Fireworks on July 3.
      • The event starts at 5:00 p.m. Rain date on the 5.
        • Fireworks at dusk. Vendors, food, appearances from the army, moon bounces.
    • Old-Fashioned Fourth of July Celebration, Kirby Park on July 4 from 12:00 p.m.- 10:00 p.m.
    • Backwoods 4th of July Extravaganza, Backwoods Bar and Kitchen on July 4 from 5:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m.
      • $10.00 per vehicle. A portion of the proceeds will go to Northmoreland Fire Co.
    • 4th of July weekend fireworks and movie night at the Garden Drive-In on July 6
      • The Gates open at 1:00 PM for “The Car Meet.”
        • Featuring cars, fireworks, and two double features. The snack bar will close at 8:45 p.m. and reopen once the fireworks are complete.

    Lycoming County

    • Williamsport “Set the Night to Music” Fireworks Extravaganza on July 4.
      • – Starts at 3:00 p.m. Fireworks begin at dusk.

    Monroe County

    • Eastburg’s Big Bang Fireworks on June 29.
      • Starting at 5:00 PM; Fireworks begin at dusk.
    • Shawnee Mountain Fireworks Display on July 5 from 5:30 p.m.- 10:30 p.m.
    • Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark Independence Day Fireworks on July 4 at 6:00 p.m.
      • The event is free, and the parking fee supports the local fire company. The rain date is July 5.
    • Skytop Lodge Fourth of July Celebration on July 5 fireworks at dusk.
      • Open to the public with limited parking until 8:45 p.m.
        • Parking is only $10.00 per car for non-resort guests. Live entertainment begins at 5:00 p.m.

    Columbia County

    • Bloomsburg Town Park- 4:00 p.m. on July 4.
      • – Food vendors on Market St. with performances from the Catawissa military band.
    • Millville Firemen’s Carnival from June 28 until July 6.
      • The parade starts at 10:30 a.m. on July 4.
        • Fireworks by “Bixler at 10:00 p.m.

    Schuylkill County

    • Independence Day Celebration, Minersville Area Little League Complex on July 3, 6:00 p.m.
      • The event will include food, games, and activities for the whole family.
    • Mahanoy City Fireworks, Mahanoy Area Football Field on June 29.
      • Starts at dusk.
    • Frackville Area Fireworks, Little League/Softball Complex on July 3.
      • Starts at dusk.
    • Port Carbon 4th of July Fireworks on July 4.
      • Starts at 9:30 p.m.

    Northumberland

    • Watsontown`s Fourth of July Celebration on July 4.
      • – passing of the flag at 9:30 a.m. followed by a parade at 10 a.m.
        • – Fireworks start at dusk.
    • Sunbury Celebration on July 13.
      • Fireworks start at dusk.
    • Fireworks Over Lake Wallenpaupack on July 4 begin at dusk.
      • Free event with a rain date of the 5th.

    Susquehanna County

    • Thompson Hose Company Independence Day Celebration on July 6.
      • The parade starts at 11:00 p.m. Fireworks begin at dusk.
    • July 4th Celebration Montrose, Montrose Lake on July 4.
      • Parade at 11:00 a.m. Fireworks will begin around 8:45 p.m.

    Synder County

    • Middlecreek Valley Antique Association Annual Fireworks Show on July 6.
      • Starts at dusk.
    • Susquehanna Valley Country Club on July 6 the fireworks begin after 9:00 p.m.

    Tioga County

    • Tioga County 4th of July Celebration, Mansfield University on July 4.
      • Fireworks start at dusk. Main Street parade at 11:00 a.m.

    Union County

    • Union County Veterans 4th of July Celebration and Fireworks on June 28 from 7:00-10:00 p.m.
    • Mifflinburg 52nd Annual July 4th Celebration on July 4 the fireworks start at 9:45 p.m.

    Wayne County

    • Lake Ariel Fireworks Display on July 6.
      • The fireman’s parade is at 7:00 p.m., and fireworks begin at dusk.
        • Food and games will be available.
    • Downtown Honesdale Fireworks Celebration on July 1, fireworks begin at dusk.
      • Music in the Park is presented by Wayne County Creative Arts Council the Doug Smith Band and Crystal Band Starting at 6:30 p.m.

    Wyoming County

    • Tunkhannock July 4th Celebration on July 3
      • The event takes place from 6:00- 9:30 p.m.
        • Hamburgers, hotdogs, sodas & more. Operated by the Tunkhannock Senior Class, Presented by the Tunkhannock Rotary Club. Rain date is set for July 5.
