Jenna Dewan Welcomes Baby No. 3 & Reveals Her Mythical Name: ‘Our Hearts Are Overflowing’

Jenna Dewan’s family announced a sweet new addition today: the birth of her baby girl! The professional dancer welcomed her third child, and second with fiancé Steve Kazee, and revealed the mythical name that is so beautiful.

The Step Up alum posted the first photos of her daughter today and shared her name and birthdate: “Rhiannon Lee Kathryn Kazee June 14, 2024 🤍.” First of all, what an adorable name! And it rhymes? Iconic!

Rhiannon has Celtic roots that mean “mythical daughter of Hefeydd” and Welsh roots that mean “nymph,” “goddess,” or “pure maiden.” It sounds so ethereal and beautiful, it’s no wonder Dewan and Kazee chose it! (Not to mention, it reminds us of Rihanna, and who wouldn’t want that fabulous association?!) Dewan also gave a hint to the inspiration behind her baby name on her Instagram story . She posted a clip of the song “Rhiannon” by Fleetwood Mac and a picture of a name book that says Rhiannon “is the divine queen of faeries.”

The rest of her name is also beautiful. Lee means “meadow” and Kathryn means “pure” or “clear.”

The photos show Dewan lying on an operating table, holding her daughter on her chest as Kazee leans forward to touch her tiny fingers. It’s such an intimate family moment!

“From the moment you arrived, you have brought immense joy and love into our lives…” Dewan gushed in her caption. “Your gentle grace, sweetness, and beauty have captivated our entire family. Our hearts are overflowing with love, and we are truly blessed by your presence.”

“Welcome to our world baby girl 🤍,” she added.

Sharna Burgess commented, “Congratulations mama ❤️❤️❤️.” The Talk co-host Amanda Kloots wrote, “Awww yay and CONGRATULATIONS guys!!!!”

Nikki Reed wrote, “Welcome baby girl!!!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️”

Dewan also shared a video on Instagram , taken when she is walking toward the hospital. “We’re having a baby!” she says as they head to the check-in desk. The clip cuts to baby Rhiannon being laid on Dewan’s chest and crying as they get skin-to-skin time. Later, the baby is cleaned up and wrapped in a blanket with a bow hat on her head, sleeping peacefully on Dewan’s chest.

The video also captures the special moments when Dewan’s kids Callum, 4, who she shares with Kazee, and Everly, 11, who she shares with ex Channing Tatum, met their baby sister for the first time. They both lean forward to give big hugs to the baby girl, clearly already so in love with their new sibling!
