As the summer heat is intensifying all across the country, people are looking for more ways to keep cool. Why not start with an ice-cold smoothie? National Smoothie Day is tomorrow, Friday, June 21, and smoothie chains are offering plenty of deals to help you cool off.

Jamba is selling 16-ounce smoothies for $1 in two flavors: Mango-a-Go-Go and Strawberry Whirl Smoothie. To enjoy the deal, head into your nearest Jamba location between 3-6 p.m. on June 21 — online orders and drive-thru don’t apply.

Jamba also has new flavors for the summer. Watermelon Lemonade and Watermelon Tajin smoothies will be available through the beginning of September, or as long as they last.

Several other popular smoothie spots will have great offers for National Smoothie Day as well, but many of them require you to be a rewards member.

Planet Smoothie is handing out free 20-ounce Lunar Lemonade smoothies from 2- 5 p.m. on Friday. One free smoothie per customer will be available for all in-store orders.

At Smoothie King, in addition to their Free Upsize Friday (which is a free upgrade from a 20-ounce size to a 32-ounce), Healthy Rewards members will get triple points on Friday on any order and be automatically entered into a $5,000 sweepstakes celebrating National Smoothie Day.

Smoothie King is also offering its members 15% off any order in honor of the first day of summer, which is today, Thursday, June 20.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe fans will love this one! All Tropic Rewards members will get a free 24-ounce smoothie of their choice with any food purchase.

Similarly, Playa Bowls is handing out free color-changing cups with any smoothie order, but only to its reward members.

Other Deals to Cash In On

With the summer solstice on Thursday, smoothies aren’t the only deals to pay cash in on.

Krispy Kreme is giving out a dozen glazed donuts for $1 on the solstice , along with several other offers throughout the week. These are hot deals you won't want to miss!

The supermarket chain Kroger is handing out 45,000 free pints of ice cream on the longest day of the year, too, but restrictions do apply.

Plus, McDonald's has finally launched it $5 Meal Deal, so be on the lookout for that, as well, and don't forget to head to ALDI for some sweet, cold treats at a deep discount. The grocery chain is slashing prices this summer on many food staples .
