Courtney revealed that she doesn’t have to pay any rent as a result of living in her 1999 Ford e150 van, and whilst her home on wheels doesn’t have a shower, it’s no problem as she goes to her local gym to wash.

Not only this, but Courtney explained that to save cash on renovating her van, which she named Sheila Van Disco, she nabbed cheap buys from Facebook Marketplace, as well as freebies from the side of the road.

Posting on social media, Courtney gave her followers an insight into what van life is really like.

The curly-haired girl gave social media users a close-up look at the van, as she said: “This is your daily reminder that you don’t need to spend a bunch of money to live in a van.

“Everyone’s needs are different and you can do it on the cheap.

“90% of my van came from Facebook Marketplace, thrift stores, curb finds, and I think she’s pretty cute.”

Courtney’s van has two seats at the front and then a bed at the back.

Under the bed, Courtney has plenty of space for storage bins, one of which contains her entire kitchen.

In another video, Courtney went into depth on her budget van kitchen set-up.

She explained that when she wants to cook, she will set up her table and stove outside the van.

She then showed off her bin full of supplies, as she continued: “I have a bin full of my cooking supplies - I have a kettle that I found at Goodwill, various noodles, a pot that I also found at Goodwill, currently full with various sauces, all my spices, plates were from Walmart, my utensils, measuring cups, a sponge for cleaning and I’ve got bowls and tupperware for leftovers.”

Not only this, but Courtney also shared with her followers how she washes and gets water, as she claimed: “I refill water at hiking spots usually, or at the store. Planet Fitness membership or truck stops for showers!”

    SOCIAL MEDIA USERS REACT

The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @court_kneeeeeee, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed over 7,000 likes.

    This is my dream

Social media users were impressed with Courtney’s van set-up and many took to the comments to express this.

One person said: “Looks great! I just started my 96 Ford!”

    Another added: “I love it.”

Is it legal to live in a van?

IF you are looking to live in a van to save money or travel, you'll be pleased to know that there are no UK laws stopping you.

However, you must ensure your vehicle has passed its MOT and is fully road legal.

There could also be restrictions on where you can park up and sleep in your van.

For example, local authorities place restrictions on certain streets or lay-bys, and you could be fined if you spend the night there.

It could also be unsafe to spend the night in some locations (particularly at night time).

Check the The Highway Code guide for guidance.

A third commented: “This is my dream.”

Whilst someone else wrote: “Super cute.”
