Every time I walk into our garage I nearly faint from my OCD surfacing as I scan the room . Extension cords are thrown on the wall, stacks of outdoor equipment and yard games, multiple buckets and bags of holiday decorations , winter coats and snow boots tossed in a corner, and camping gear spread throughout the space.

It's stressful enough to try to sort through the garage to find things when the holidays roll around or we have family camping trips quickly arising, which is why I was excited to see the genius way that one man organizes his garage. It's simple, looks good, and is oh-so functional. Check it out!

There typically are two types of people when it comes to garage spaces. The first kind of person uses and treats their garage as a catch-all. A space that gets filled quickly , with everything that is not suitable for the house; bikes, sporting equipment, tools, and extra stuff you just can’t get off, leaving very little space to walk. The other kind of person turns their garage into a useful space, like a home gym , full-blown wood working shop, or the ultimate hangout zone .

Whatever type of person you are, you could benefit from a little more storage space and this woodworker's hack for creating above-head storage is brilliant!

    Re-doing Your Garage Floors

Re-do your garage floors with an epoxy chip overlay. First, start out by giving your garage floors a deep clean. Apply cleaning products and degreasers , scrubbing them with a wire brush for a true deep clean. Fill in the cracks with caulk and smooth it out before prepping for the epoxy layer. Use a roller brush to lay down gray tinted liquid epoxy, and quickly before it dries sprinkle decorative chips to make it pretty and hide imperfections. Give it a final seal and let it dry a few days before use!
