ECTOR COUNTY, Texas (KMID/KPEJ)- An Ector County man was arrested late last week after investigators said he allegedly threatened a woman with a knife. David Lee Bishop, 39, has been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

According to an Ector County Sheriff’s Office report, on June 13, deputies were called to the 2600 block of Gemini to investigate reports of a man with a knife. At the scene, a woman told investigators she heard a disturbance and came outside to see what was going on; that’s when she spotted Bishop “displaying” an open pocketknife toward another man. The woman said Bishop then turned to her and threatened to stab her with the knife.

Deputies said they found Bishop with a knife in his possession and arrested him at the scene. Bishop was booked into the Ector County Law Enforcement Center where he remained as of Thursday afternoon on a combined $65,000 bond.
