    49th Wilkes-Barre Farmers Market kicks off

    WILKES-BARRE, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — It’s that time of year again; The Wilkes-Barre Farmers Market kicked off on Thursday.

    The Farmers Market happens every Thursday through November 14 on Public Square from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

    It offers a variety of vendors from fresh produce to food trucks and even some other goodies.

    Road closures announced in Wilkes-Barre for PrideFest

    Wilkes-Barre Mayor George Brown was there this morning to officially open the market.

    “This is a tradition every year that we’re doing, and I am, officially gonna, right now, open up the 2024 49th Farmers Market. We’re officially opened up,” Mayor Brown explained.

    Again, the market is open every Thursday until 3:00 p.m.
