    ICCU installs fiber-based internet connections in 42 branches

    Forty-two branches of an Idaho-based financial institution have received technology upgrades.

    On June 5, Sparklight Business, a broadband communications provider, announced it had completed the installation of fiber-based internet connections in 42 locations of Idaho Central Credit Union .

    The upgrade will all the credit union’s “members to complete their online and mobile banking transactions in a secure and reliable online environment,” statement read. The company added that members will have improved video and text chat capabilities.

    “It’s important to have the best internet options available to serve our credit union members as efficiently as possible,” said Greg Meade, assistant vice president of ICCU Physical Facilities. “The Sparklight installation has been seamless, and we are excited about how this has moved our internet services to the next level for our members.”

    The fiber-based connections will provide speeds in the range of 100 megabytes per second to 100 gigabytes per second, Sparklight stated, adding that the company is “committed to enhancing the digital landscape for businesses, ensuring robust and reliable connectivity to drive success and growth.”
