Chappell Roan is being dubbed a "queen" following her "unbelievable" costume change during her Tonight Show debut.
The rising pop star appeared on Jimmy Fallon 's late-night talk show on Thursday, June 20, for the first time ever and her performance of " Good Luck, Babe! " isn't the only thing fans are in awe over.
Vocal range and talent aside, the internet is convinced Chappell was born to be a star partly due to her vibrant stage presence and camp fashion. The 26-year-old singer-songwriter further proved that to be true after flawlessly executing a thematic costume change from when she chatted with Fallon to the moment she rocked the Tonight Show stage with her live performance–a moment that appears to be inspired by a performance from Coco Montrese and Alyssa Edwards in Season 5 of RuPaul's Drag Race , a show whose stars she's paid homage to with previous looks .
In promotional clips shared ahead of the "HOT TO GO!" artist's sit-down with Fallon and for the duration of the interview , Chappell rocked a fringy, feathery black mini dress, sheer black tights and black heels. She completed the look with a bold black and white makeup look that saw feathers adorned to the outer corners of her eyes and a shimmery taupe color gloss on her lips.
Before taking the stage, the Missouri-born singer swapped her dark-clad for an all-white ensemble featuring a feather headpiece and a white long-sleeve mini dress with a frilly, feathery skirt.

Aside from Thursday night's appearance, Chappell has been drawing massive crowds at music festivals like Coachella , Bonnaroo and Boston Calling . She is currently on The Midwest Princess Tour and has upcoming concerts scheduled in Seattle, Chicago, Los Angeles, Montreal, Paris, and several other international cities over the summer and into the fall.
