Golden Retriever Who 'Thinks Every Store Will Give Him Treats' Is Just Precious

I am lucky enough to be a mom to a dog who has absolutely zero self esteem problems. She wholeheartedly believes that everywhere we go, everyone is there specifically to see her — and that anyone we might pass along the way most definitely wants to pet her. Of course, I would never shatter the illusion for her, even though we all know there are people out there who aren't big fans of dogs (not that I can understand that lifestyle). And there are other dogs who feel this way, too.

Case in point: the pup in this TikTok video. He's convinced that any store he goes to is going to shower him with treats, but after seeing how cute he is... I totally get why he would think that. He deserves it!

We've all been able to see our dogs luck out a time or two when we take them to a pet-friendly store that has treats on hand for good boys and girls — or a drive thru where they hand out free snacks like pup cups. Using dog logic, it makes sense that they'd believe all stores operate this way, and that seems to be how this Golden Retriever thinks!

In this video from @thegoldenzeppole that was shared on Wednesday, June 19, we can see this sweet dog sitting outside of the entrance to several different stores, just waiting and hoping that one of them will give him a treat.

"Someone tell this guy that not every store will give him a treat," his mom wrote on the video.

Well, if someone tells him that, it's certainly not going to be me... and commenters seem to agree. One person wrote, "First of all… it’s ridiculous that someone working the front wouldn’t be at the ready to sprint out with one. I’ll do it. Hire me."

This is the right attitude!

Where to Get Fun Treats With Your Dog

While grabbing free treats at stores can be hit or miss, there are certain fast food chains that include items for dogs on their menus, if you know what to ask for — even beyond pup cups at coffee shops.

As Spoon University reported, Culver's offers a scoop of vanilla ice cream topped with a dog treat, and Dairy Queen also serves something similar — how cute!

You also might want to check out Shake Shack, where you can get a Pooch-ini: "two dog biscuits in peanut butter sauce and vanilla custard." I can't imagine a dog who would turn something like that down!

Just watch out — your dog might end up thinking every restaurant has menu items like these, like the dog in this video. But honestly, in an ideal world, every restaurant would.
