Long before babies can talk, they find ways to communicate what they're feeling. It's up to parents to decode all the crying and babbling, but it's not always easy — especially when the noises they make are a little bit...unusual.

In a video posted on June 21, a perplexed mom wants to know if any other parents out there have a "Chewbacca" baby (and after seeing this clip, viewers everywhere will wish they did!). As she explains it, her baby doesn't cry — instead, he makes a sound that's very similar to the one made by everybody's favorite Wookiee...and it's ridiculously adorable.

"People are always so interested when they hear him in the store ," wrote @gigibrooks . No doubt! You can just imagine what it would be like if you were strolling through Target and heard that noise from the next aisle. If you're lucky, that might actually happen — because the comments proved this little boy isn't the only Chewbacca baby out there after all.

"Yes I have a baby Chewbacca too!!!! Lmao they are communicating with Chewbacca," wrote Denise Texta.

"My baby rolls his tongue when he cries! My husband says he cries in Spanish since I'm Puerto Rican," wrote _.missbanana._.

"I had a Chewbacca baby!!! She's gonna be 13 next month," wrote Dawn Christmas.

Lots more parents of Chewbacca babies can be found on Reddit. In one hilarious thread titled "My daughter is a tiny wookie" Im_Already_Sorry_ wrote "she spends tens of minutes at a time making these gurgling yells, and she sounds exactly like a baby wookie. She loves the sound, it makes her so happy. It's adorable and really, really annoying."

"I leaned into the Wookie sounds, and she owns TONS of Chewbacca stuff! She calls him ‘Chukie-bokbok’ and it’s amazing," wrote imSOsalty in response.

All different babies definitely make all different kinds of sounds ...for all different reasons!

Why Do Babies Make Growly Sounds?

As Parents reported, "although this throaty noise isn't as common as some other baby sounds, many babies growl within the first six months…and it doesn't mean they're unleashing their inner animal."

"At first, it's just a reflex, like crying or gurgling . But your infant may start making growling sounds ( grrr ) on purpose because they like the feeling it produces in their throat, says Diane Paul, PhD, director of speech-language pathology for the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). As your baby gets older, they may also growl to express displeasure, like when they don't want to be smothered in kisses by Aunt Gretchen or they're mad that you're not feeding them fast enough. Growling back will show them that you get it — and it's fun!"

Most parents probably wouldn't be able to replicate that Chewbacca noise, but it's worth a shot!
