FAIRMONT, W.Va. (WBOY) — Court testimony in the trial of John Wolfe, who back in April was found guilty of conspiring to shoot and kill Henry Silver , has led to the arrest of another man, who was charged with murder and conspiracy.

Silver’s murder occurred on Sept. 9, 2022, in Carolina, Marion County. Multiple criminal complaints against Wolfe and the four other men who were previously charged have detailed that all of the defendants are believed to be members of the Pagan’s Motorcycle Club , and that Silver was targeted because he was believed to be in a relationship with Wolfe’s significant other.

Now, deputies with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office say that a police investigation, witness statements, courtroom testimony in Wolfe’s trial, physical evidence and cellphone and location data has led them to arrest 36-year-old Ryan Lane and charge him with murder and conspiracy.

According to a criminal complaint, Lane and Jonathan Biller, Derek Clem, Austin Mullins and Dane Hull , were known to have an official Pagan’s Motorcycle Club meeting, called “Church” or “Band Practice,” where members discussed Silver.

Wolfe had learned about Silver’s relationship with his significant other from Lane in the months before the meeting and murder, according to the complaint. Text conversations showed Lane and Wolfe discussing waiting until a court hearing was completed in September 2022 before taking any action, the complaint said.

A text from approximately 10 minutes before the murder from Wolfe to Lane said, “Keep ur phone on I might need bail money,” according to the complaint. Statements indicated that Lane attempted to meet up with and discuss the events in Carolina with Wolfe, deputies said.

Lane is being held in the North Central Regional Jail with no bail amount listed as of Friday.
