If you've been eyeing the ultra-luxurious home decor side of the internet lately and feeling left out, you're not alone. We wish we had the budget for these chic home pieces we're seeing all over our For You pages, but if we're hones we have IKEA-level budgets. That's just our reality!
However, that doesn't mean we have to miss out on the fun. Fortunately there are a ton of easy DIYs that can transform your basic furniture into that luxury vibe you've been envying online. And no, you don't need hundreds of dollars. You need a cheap trip to IKEA and about an hour of your time. Sounds like a pretty good deal to me!
I don't know about you, but I am absolutely loving the glass and metallic aesthetic that is circulating the Internet this summer season. We just watched IKEA release a limited edition version of their classic MALM dresser, sending their loyal customers into a frenzy. This new design, which had the same basic structure, boasted a dark mirrored exterior with a rich velvet pink interior. So lux!
The online community of interior design lovers have definitely caught wind of this style and are pushing it forward with a passion. And don't worry, because if you don't have the budget for a $255 mirrored side table from Wayfair, brands like IKEA are coming in clutch with much more affordable options. Plus, DIYs are always an option!
That's the route TikTok creator Olga ( @olga.petsi ) decided to take and she created a gorgeous mirrored statement table for super cheap. Here's how!
How to Turn IKEA LACK Table into Mirrored Side Piece
- 6 square aluminum or metal sheets (available as 6-pack on Amazon for $19.99 , just make sure they are the same dimensions as the LACK table if you aren't able to cut them yourself)
The rest is easy! Apply the adhesive stickers evenly over the entire surface of the table before placing the metal sheets on top. Once on, peel off the protective covering to reveal your gorgeous mirrored table. So simple and beautiful!
