Jared Padalecki is looking to reunite with Supernatural creator Eric Kripke on The Boys Season 5, which will serve as the final season of the hit Prime Video series. This comes after his CW series Walker was cancelled last May by CW. The Western drama will officially be concluding its four-season run next week on June 26, with the series finale episode titled “See You Sometime.”

What did Jared Padelecki say about his possible role in The Boys Season 5?

During a recent interview, Padalecki has confirmed that he and Kripke has started talking about his potential role in The Boys Season 5. Padalecki would be the latest Supernatural actor to join the superhero series, following Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy and Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s Joe Kessler.

“We have talked [about a role]. As a matter of fact, we talked today,” Padalecki said (via Deadline). “I think at this point in my acting life, I only want to work on projects that I really care about or with people that I really care about, and obviously Eric and I are indelibly connected forever.”

The Boys is created and executive produced by Supernatural creator Eric Kripke, based on the comic book series created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, The series currently stars Karl Urban, Antony Star, Jack Quaid, Laz Alonso, Tomer Capone, Karen Fukuhara, Erin Moriarty, Dominique McElligott, Jessie T. Usher, Chace Crawford, Nathan Mitchell, Claudia Doumit, Colby Minifie, Simon Pegg, and Cameron Crovetti. Joining them are series newcomers Valorie Curry (The Tick), Susan Heyward (Orange is the New Black), Rosemarie DeWitt (The Staircase), Rob Benedict (Supernatural), and Elliot Knight (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II), with DeWitt tapped for the role of Hughie’s mom.

“In Season Four, the world is on the brink,” reads the new season’s synopsis. “Victoria Neuman is closer than ever to the Oval Office and under the muscly thumb of Homelander, who is consolidating his power. Butcher, with only months to live, has lost Becca’s son and his job as The Boys’ leader. The rest of the team are fed up with his lies. With the stakes higher than ever, they have to find a way to work together and save the world before it’s too late.”
