Vanna White Is Reportedly Thinking Of Retiring After Ryan Seacrest Joins ‘Wheel Of Fortune’

Pat Sajak’s retirement from being the long-time host of America’s famous game show, Wheel Of Fortune, has ushered in a new era for the program with Ryan Seacrest joining Vanna White as her new partner. Their first few episodes together are set to air in September; however, sources say both co-hosts may be experiencing a hard time getting along.

An insider revealed that Vanna might follow suit with Pat once her contract ends, as she does not see herself blending in seamlessly with the fresh, new, and younger co-host. Like Pat, Vanna has also been on the show for decades since partnering up with him in 1982.

Vanna believes she should be replaced too

Having had a good run on Wheel Of Fortune and making a name out of her dedication to the fan-favorite program, Vanna is allegedly considering an early retirement to create space for a younger woman to take over and be to Ryan who she was to Pat. She is said to acknowledge that Wheel Of Fortune should experience a different approach with the younger generation, and her presence might cause a clash in times.

An insider added that Vanna’s decision hinges on how well her first few episodes with Ryan are received by fans based on ratings. Ryan himself previously admitted to having big shoes to fill by taking over from the legend himself. He has faced both support and pushback on social media for his latest gig and has most of the fall to prove himself to anticipating viewers as a fitting co-host.

Vanna’s replacement

There have been debates about who would make the perfect replacement for Vanna, with Pat Sajak’s daughter, Maggie Sajak, topping the list as a worthy candidate. The 29-year-old has been working on Wheel Of Fortune as the social media correspondent since 2021, and once filled in for Vanna during a special last year.

Vanna herself has named Maggie as her perfect substitute on days when she has to be absent, adding that her father’s “charm” has rubbed off on her over the years.
