Boil Water Advisory lifted for Coeburn Mountain area

UPDATE: The boil water notice has been lifted.

WISE COUNTY, Va. (WJHL) — A boil water notice has been issued for Wise County Public Service Authority customers in the Coeburn Mountain Area.

The utility says a waterline break occurred on Coeburn Mountian Road.

As a precaution, a boil water advisory was issued for customers in the following areas:

• Coeburn Mountain Road
• Hall Orchard Road
• Pole Bridge Road
• Duncan Gap Road
• Redwine Road
• Strawberry Mountain Road
• White Oak Gap Road
• Fairgrounds Road
• Green Hollow Road
• Hurricane Road
• Old Hurricane Road
• Turkey Branch Road
• and adjacent streets.

The utility says customers in those areas should bring water to a rolling boil for at least a minute and let it cool before consuming.
