Glynn County Police Department officer arrested for DUI

GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV)- A Glynn County Police Department (GCPD) officer has been arrested for Driving Under the Influence and Failure to Maintain Lane.

According to a spokesperson from the GCPD, Officer Devin Batten was arrested by Georgia State Patrol on Sunday, June 16, around 3:30 a.m. at Altama Avenue and Emery Dawson Road.

Later on, the same Sunday, Batten’s equipment was secured, and he was placed on administrative leave without pay.

Batten joined GCPD in January of 2022.

This case is under investigation by GCPD’s Office of Professional Standards (OPS). The findings of the OPS investigation will determine the appropriate course of action.
