Stacey I. Sikes

Vice President of Government Affairs and Communications, Long Island Association

Stacey I. Sikes is an experienced leader of innovative programs in business, government, the nonprofit sector and higher education. Currently, she serves as vice president of government affairs and communications for the Long Island Association, a business organization that supports Long Island’s economic development. Sikes is the primary advocate for the LIA’s legislative agenda and has implemented new programs to foster a positive business climate on Long Island, including the LIA’s Small Business Support Program.

In 2022, Sikes was elected chair of the board of Accelerate Long Island, a nonprofit collaboration among Long Island’s research and academic institutions and business community to support the growth of high-tech startup companies. Sikes is also a member of the board of directors of the Long Island Community Foundation. She been recognized by regional and national organizations for her work, including the Long Island Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives. She is a volunteer with Girl Scouts of Suffolk County in her community.

Sikes’ previous professional positions include executive dean of entrepreneurship at Hofstra University; deputy chief of staff for Brookhaven Supervisor Mark Lesko; director of special projects for Nassau County Executive Tom Suozzi; and deputy regional representative for U.S. Sen. Charles Schumer.

Sikes received her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in government and politics from St. John’s University, where she graduated summa cum laude and also served as an adjunct instructor.

Born and raised on Long Island, she lives in East Northport with her family.
