    Commercial Banking Market Executive, Long Island/Queens, Capital One Bank


    Miriam Tanenbaum is a vice president and market executive who leads Long Island and Queens middle market commercial banking for Capital One Bank, a top 10 commercial bank with a $90.5 billion loan portfolio and more than 5,300 clients across all sectors. Tanenbaum, who joined Capital One in 2012, has more than 25 years of industry experience. She leads a team of bankers from Capital One’s Long Island headquarters in Melville, helping clients navigate uncertainty and reach a variety of objectives, all with a healthy approach to well-managed risk.

    Tanenbaum joined Capital One from JPMorgan Chase, where she held several positions, including relationship manager; division manager for the textile and apparel banking division in New York City; and senior vice president/division manager for commercial banking on Long Island and Queens.

    Over the years, Tanenbaum’s leadership and expertise have been recognized many times, including by LIBN, who named her one of Long Island’s Top 50 Women in Business in 2012, 2013 and 2014 and inducted her into the Top 50 Women in Business Hall of Fame in 2014. Tanenbaum serves on the board of the Long Island Association and is vice chair of the LIA’s financial services and tax policy committee. She is also a member of the Touro Law Center advisory board.

    Tanenbaum earned a Bachelor of Science in business administration from American University in Washington, D.C., and resides in Great Neck.
