    Arrest made following 3-week-long assault investigation

    GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) – The Glynn County Police Department (GCPD) has arrested one man following a three-week-long assault investigation.

    According to GCPD, the assault took place on May 25, at the Sunoco Gas Station located at 2764 Highway 17 South. The attack left one man unconscious with serious injuries.

    The victim was preparing to fuel his vehicle to travel to Florida when he was assaulted and suffered broken bones to his face, a broken nose and injuries requiring six stitches above the eye.

    The GCPD Major Crimes Unit began an investigation and identified the attacker as Corey Burnett of Glynn County.

    On June 21, Burnett was arrested and booked into the Glynn County Detention Center on a charge of Aggravated Battery.
