WILBRAHAM, Mass. (WWLP) – Saturday’s storm caused widespread outages throughout Hampden County.

Utility workers in Wilbraham were seen cleaning up the storm damage in the town of Wilbraham. Our 22News crews could see debris left in roadways, as well as significant damage to trees and power lines on both Main Street and Monson Road.

Trees had fallen in front of several homes in that area with some trees completely uprooted by the storm.

22News spoke with one Wilbraham resident who tells us they were on a walk when the storm suddenly hit his neighborhood.

“I wasn’t sure what was going on… I thought it was maybe a small tornado, a micro-burst even,” Ethan Pilong recalled. “I’d love to know how much wind there was because it got up there.”

According to the Wilbraham Fire Department, National Grid was working on restoring power in the town.

22News will provide more information when it becomes available.
