Old Navy Is Selling 'Perfect for Summer' SleekTech Cargo Pants That Are So Similar to an Athleta Style Almost 3x the Price

Cargo pants are the trend that we can’t get enough of. From Target to Old Navy, all different styles and types of cargo pants, skirts and shorts have taken over popular retailers. And while pants might not be your go-to article of clothing in the summer, cargo pants and their handy pockets can definitely be worth a try any time of year. Old Navy’s newest version is part of the SleekTech line and looks very similar to an Athleta style almost three times the price.

The pants in question are Old Navy’s High-Waisted SleekTech Cargo Ankle Pants which are currently $44.99. They come in four colors—Dark Ivy (a dark sage green), Boxwood (a purple-hued brown), Black Jack and Savanna Grass (khaki)—and a large range of sizes (XS through 4X) and fits (regular, tall and petite). They’re a straight-leg design, with a loose hip and thigh, tapered leg and stopping right at the ankles (per the name).

High-Waisted SleekTech Cargo Ankle Pants , $44.99 at Old Navy

These pants also have an elastic waistband, front pockets and flap cargo pockets (of course). These are also made with Old Navy’s SleekTech fabric, made of 77% nylon and 23% spandex. Thanks to this material, these cargo ankle pants also have a four-way stretch, are breathable and are moisture-wicking. This makes it good for more active days, though they’re not necessarily workout pants.

Because these are so new, there are only a couple of reviews so far. One gushed that these were “very comfortable,” “very lightweight and cool.”

“Perfect for summer,” they also wrote, sharing that they purchased the Savanna Grass, which is a taupe “that will go with everything.”

Endless High Rise Cargo Pant , $129 at Athleta

As stated up top, these Old Navy pants also look a lot like Athleta’s Endless High Rise Cargo Pant . They’re currently $129 and come in four colors as well. They have a similar fit, with a “semi-fitted” design that “sits at the natural waist” and then tapers at the bottom. They have an elastic waistband in the back, while it’s smooth in the front. They also have zippered pockets, but they do still have flap cargo pockets. The material is somewhat similar, made from 86% recycled polyester and 14% spandex.

So if you’re looking for a more casual cargo pant that is made with material that’ll help when you’re out and about (like traveling or running tons of errands), then Old Navy’s High-Waisted SleekTech Cargo Ankle Pants might be perfect for you.
