Bindi Irwin’s Daughter Grace Delightfully Runs Away From Her Mom on a Mountain in ‘The Best Picture Ever’

Grace Warrior’s playful sense of humor was on full display on a recent family vacation. The 3-year-old daughter of Bindi Irwin and Chandler Powell was captured shrieking with delight as she ran away from her mom on top of a mountain in Tasmania — and it’s the best depiction of life with a toddler that we’ve ever seen.

The Australia Zoo CEO shared the joyful moment on Instagram Saturday. The family, including Bindi’s mom Terri, brother Robert, and husband Chandler Powell, are near a rock in front of trees, a lake, and a snowy mountain. They are all bundled up in warm coats, as its winter in Australia right now, as they pose for the beautiful scene. But what would be a peaceful moment is interrupted by Grace bringing the chaos.

The little girl is wearing pink ski pants, a white jacket with pink flowers, and fuzzy black boots. She is in front of the rock, arms out wide, as she tries to make a run for it. Her mouth is open in a wide grin as she tries to escape, but her mom is faster. Bindi is lunging forward with both hands reaching out to grab her daughter by the waist. Her hair is flying up behind her as a clue to how fast they were moving, and it’s seriously impressive. Toddler moms know you have to always be alert!

Terri sits on the rock in the background, next to Robert who crouches down to smile at Grace. Powell sits on Robert’s other side, laughing at the scene in front of him. This picture needs a spot at the Louvre!

In the next photo, Bindi has her arms firmly around Grace to keep her in the shot as the rest of the family smiles. Sometimes, you just gotta do what you gotta do to get the family photo. Other adorable snaps include Grace walking on a snowy path with her dad; Grace running along a wooded trail; and Grace exploring the wilderness with her dad behind her, holding a tiny Bluey backpack on one arm.

“So grateful for these moments,” Bindi captioned the sweet pictures. Powell commented, “Grace running is the best picture ever 😂” Terri wrote, “Best holiday ever!”

Earlier this week, Robert shared another photo seemingly of the family vacay. “Love this little adventure buddy – I am the luckiest uncle ever!” the wildlife photographer captioned a photo on Instagram, prompting comments from his family. “The sweetest moment!” Bindi wrote. Terri commented, “Grace loves doing fun stuff with Uncle Robert!”

In the photo, Grace sits on a tree, all bundled up in her winter gear, looking proudly at the camera as Robert laughs next to her. They are truly the cutest duo!

“Grace finds everything extraordinary, and I think that’s so special,” Bindi told Entertainment Tonight last month. “That’s a great way of putting it, magic in the ordinary! Wow!” Robert chimed in.

Terri added, “And, see, your dad [the late Steve Irwin] never lost that. He stayed three years old for his whole life, and that was his secret to success. So, may we all be like Grace and marvel at everything always.”

Things can get wild with a toddler, whether you’re on a mountain or at home. But embracing every moment with love and wonder can make the biggest difference.
