    Sandra Evers-Manly Honored With Co-Founders Award For The Arts By The Links, Incorporated

    At the 44th Links National Assembly held at the Gaylord Texan Resort, Sandra Evers-Manly was recognized with the prestigious Co-Founders Award for The Arts by The Links, Incorporated.

    This esteemed award, presented during the Civic Luncheon by National President Ethel Isaacs Williams, celebrates individuals who exemplify dedication to truth, equality, and impactful contributions to society.

    Founded in 1946, The Links, Incorporated is a renowned volunteer service organization comprising over 17,000 professional women of color across 299 chapters worldwide.

    Their mission focuses on uplifting African American communities through cultural enrichment and economic support, with members collectively contributing over one million service hours annually.

    Sandra Evers-Manly, a prominent figure in both corporate and cultural arenas, received accolades for her influential career spanning film, media, and advocacy.

    President Williams praised Evers-Manly’s commitment to amplifying diverse voices in the arts and her profound impact on youth empowerment through storytelling.

    “I am truly honored and humbled to receive this amazing recognition from The Links, Inc.,” expressed Evers-Manly. “This award underscores the importance of Black representation in film and television, promoting equity, and advancing the arts.”

    Evers-Manly, known for her leadership at the Black Hollywood Education and Resource Center (BHERC) and her involvement with the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, has championed initiatives supporting filmmakers from underrepresented communities for over three decades.

    Her efforts have significantly shaped perceptions and inspired change through impactful storytelling.

    The Co-Founders Award is accompanied by a commissioned Elizabeth Catlett bronze sculpture, symbolizing belief, achievement, and resilience.

    Additionally, Evers-Manly has the privilege to designate a charity for monetary donations from The Links, Inc. in her honor.
